Simple tips for healthy skin

Simple tips for healthy skin

Cleansing

Cleansing the skin helps remove dirt, oil and make-up. This is an important step in maintaining a healthy glow and great complexion. Be sure to do this process every day.

Exfoliation

This process removes dead skin cells that can lead to clogged pores resulting in acne blemishes. Gently scrub the face to exfoliate no more than twice per week. A slightly abrasive tool is normally used to assist the process.

Moisturizing

To keep your skin healthy and hydrated be sure to moisturize daily. Starting this early in adulthood is an important step to maintaining young looking skin as you age. If you have oily skin go for a water based moisturizer.

Sunscreen

Protecting your skin with sunscreen is vitally important. A good sunscreen will not only make your skin soft and smooth, but will protect from the damaging rays of the sun. Higher SPF ratings are better.

Water

Drink several glasses of water daily. It hydrates the whole body and adds a healthy glow to the skin.

Proper sleep

Get enough sleep to feel good and maintain an overall healthy appearance. Seven to eight hours per night is recommended.
